Max's story
"No-one can say how long Max has. It could be six months or five years. With a rare condition, it's hard to know for sure.
But what we do know for certain is that when the time comes for Max to leave, Bear Cottage will be the place where we say our last goodbyes. Until then, I will always see Max as the person I know he truly is – an eccentric little fellow with an indomitable sense of humour. My very beautiful boy."
